P2V Systems Hosts Successful GDPR Event

On Wednesday 21 June, P2V Systems hosted GDPR – Will you be Compliant? to discuss the practical implications and compliance requirements of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is regarded as the most important change in data privacy regulations in 20 years. The GDPR represents a fundamental change to how personal data can be collected, stored and used, and will have a significant impact on all organisations in the UK, Europe and beyond.

GDPR – Will you be Compliant? was held at the Merchant Hotel, Belfast and featured presentations from members of the P2V Systems team and Art Coughlin, Business Group Lead for Cloud and Enterprise at Microsoft Ireland.

The aim of the event was to help attendees understand and act on their GDPR responsibilities as well as providing advice on compliance requirements.

During the event, the speakers discussed how to manage information assurance and governance and the importance of reviewing policies and procedures for the management and protection of data in preparation for the GDPR. The importance of technology to enforce policies and help drive compliance was also discussed.

Stephen McCann, CEO, P2V Systems said “Feedback from all that attended has been both positive and very encouraging. We look forward to engaging with potential new customers and helping them adapt to the challenges of the GDPR through the adoption of cutting edge technology.
